Course Resources
This page lists resources and materials that we’ll be using in the course. At the bottom, we point you to further resources that might be of interest.
Note that some of the listed resources are dynamic and ever changing. That means occasionally links might not work, sites go offline, chapters in online books get re-arranged, etc. If you notice anything that’s not quite right, let us know.
Papers
Simulation Modelling for Immunologists. An introduction we wrote on the topic. You will see a lot of overlap between that paper and the course materials. You might want to read the paper before the course, then maybe re-read a few more times during and after the course.
We’ll mention primary research papers in the course. For your convenience, this zip file contains most of those references (and some more that we might not get around to talking about).
Software
- We’ll be using R and the Dynamical Systems Approach to Immune Response Modeling (DSAIRM) package for the course. We also recommend installing and using RStudio. For more details on how to download and install all needed software, see the links in the Schedule page.
Other online materials
- The majority of materials for the course are on our Simulation Modeling in Immunology (SMI) website. You’ll find materials from this and prior years there.
Further Resources
We have moved a listin of further resources to the Resources section of the SMI website.
For a list of terms that are commonly used in Immunology and Modeling see this Glossary on the SMI website.
